I am 29 years old, and was born and raised in Utah. I come from a family of ten kids! I am the third oldest, so I've always had a lot of experience with young children; in fact I've never gone a year in my life without a two year old around me!
Levi and I met during our sophomore year of high school. He was introduced to me through one of his friends (who is now married to my sister), and knew then that I was the girl for him. I, however, didn’t really share the same feeling about Levi so I played hard to get. One thing about Levi is that he is driven by strong sense of determination; he doesn't stop until he gets what he wants! A little while later Levi asked me to the Jr. Prom. He asked me by buying a Big Mac from McDonalds and saying, “the Biggest Mac in school would like to take you to the prom.” I was kind of reluctant to say yes (honestly, I think my mom made me), but I did-- and I am glad that I did. Through Levi's persistence, we soon were best friends.
Levi and I continued to date throughout high school. I waited for him while he served an LDS mission in the Argentina, Buenos Aires South Mission. Upon his return home in October 2002, we picked up right where we had left off. We were engaged in November, and in March of 2003 we were married in the Salt Lake Temple. Now, 13 years after it all began we are still best friends and loving our life together.
I love to bake and cook, read anything that someone recommends, bike on the trail near our home, exercise with my friends, and travel. But most of all, I love spending time with my sweet daughter Abbie. Abbie is the light of my life. She is five years old and getting to prepared to enter the charter school near our home. She is bright, kind, and we have a strong relationship that I pray will only continue as the years pass. I love watching her progress and excel at all she does; whether it be reading, dancing, or just pretending, I love all she does. She is loving helping me around the house lately, and it is so fun to watch her act like me.
Levi, Abbie, and I hope and pray that we can add to our family. Abbie always talks about "when" she gets a brother or sister, asking me what it will be like. She can't wait to be a great big sister and teach her sibling all of the things that she can do.
Coming from a large family, and always having someone to be with, I always thought I would be blessed with many children. My hope is not only to be able to have the blessing of raising another child, but to allow Abbie to have a sibling and friend that she can always count on, like I have in my life.
